It’s easy when you know what you are doing

To succeed on an agility course many things need to be in balance. Many, many of us struggle with remembering the course or the confidence it takes.

We have few tips for these situations:

  • When the power and skill levels of the handler and the dog have a balance, it makes the learning easier and faster. This is why experienced, senior dogs rule the Funna lessons.
  • Take your time to get to know the track. Run it through as a handler and as a dog. Stand in the middle with your eyes closed and imagine yourself on the track. Draw the course map on a sand or to a paper.

We often ask the children to sit down, close their eyes and point the obstacles of the track in the correct order. When they are asked to imagine themselves on the course winning the world championships, it’s lovely to see their smiles. Mental training rules ❤
